Auditions

Saturday, May 2nd: 10:00 am Registration

You must bring the following:

Up to date grade transcript

UNT Acceptance letter (entering freshmen only)

$20 application fee (non refundable)

A copy of your insurance card (front & back)

You will learn across the floor technique, fight song with kickline and a jazz/hip hop routine. You will receive your number. We will finish around 1pm. This is an open rehearsal so parents, family members, boyfriends are allowed. Wear whatever you like, but you never know who is watching!

Sunday, May 3rd: 10:00am- 3:00pm Closed Auditions

You will be given your audition number and your picture will be taken. You will have until 10am to review all choreography. There will be call backs, so don't leave the building after you have auditioned. After call backs will be interviews. Not every candidate will have an interview.

The 2009-2010 North Texas Dancers will be announced after interviews!!!!

Attire:

Please wear a crop top, hot pants, tights and dance sneakers, paws or jazz shoes. No running shoes. Wear your hair down, no pony tails. No jewelry. Please cover tatoos.

Technique

LEFT and RIGHT side

LEAPS: Jetes, Switch Leaps, Russians, Axles

TURNS: Double/Triple Pirouettes, Fouettes, Chaines
 

Routine

Jazz and Hip Hop Combination incorporating technical elements

Fight Song

Kick line, Splits, Strong motions, Memorization of words and movement, and University Pride
